Admissions Philosophy

Roosevelt Academy is a mission-driven, relationship-centered school intentionally designed to serve a small community of students. Because of our individualized educational model, enrollment is based not only on academic and support needs, but also on the school's ability to provide an appropriate educational environment for each student while maintaining the integrity of our program.

Admission is not based on a first-come, first-served basis. Each applicant is considered individually, taking into account the student's educational profile, support needs, readiness for our program, and the family's commitment to partnering with the Academy.

Enrollment decisions are made holistically and consider factors including, but not limited to:

• Alignment with Roosevelt Academy's mission, values, and educational philosophy.
• The student's ability to benefit from the Academy's instructional model.
• The Academy's ability to appropriately meet the student's educational, behavioral, social, and support needs with available staffing, resources, and program capacity.
• The family's willingness to actively partner with the Academy and support its policies, expectations, and culture.
• The overall composition and balance of the student community to ensure a safe, productive, and positive learning environment for all students.

Because our program is intentionally small and highly individualized, the Academy reserves the right to limit enrollment, establish waitlists, decline admission, or determine that another educational setting may better meet a student's needs.

Admission and continued enrollment should be mutual privileges. Roosevelt Academy reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding admission, reenrollment, and continued enrollment in accordance with its mission, educational philosophy, and applicable law.

Enrollment for the 2026/2027 school year is full. We will consider 2027/2028 enrollment beginning in the Fall of 2026 and will update our website when enrollment interviews are opened.
